Navigational HelpThis site is huge. There are currently 145 web pages on mixing, which as of 11/05/03 makes 366 printable pages, and we are not nearly finished. Based on searches with Google, Yahoo, MSN, Excite and others, people are not always led to the ideal spot to find what they are looking for and get discouraged and leave. If you have a mixing question, the answer is probably here, somewhere. How to find out? Read on.
The layout of all pages on Post Mixing are the same. The spinning mixer Logo is on the top. Directly below are two Top Navigational Bars. They are present on every linked page at Post Mixing. The only pages that are different are restricted areas for just invited guests. If you are trying to find something on this web site, the Contents and Search buttons on the top navigational bar are your best places to start. The Content Button sends you to the Table of Contents and lists the entire site as if it were a book. Click on a Section or a Sub-section title to head for what interests you. The Search Button sends you to a Search Engine that just searches the Post Mixing web site. Just type what you are looking forward and you will be presented with a list of pages to visit. This will help you when the commercial search engines, like Google, lead you to the wrong page. There is also help available for Contents and Search on this page. The second of the two top navigational bars are the buttons of the major subjects of this website. News tells you about the latest including new or changed items at Post Mixing. Services describe the consulting services we provide. Products describe the products we sell. The Mixing Forum is by far the largest section of this website (282 printable pages out of 366 total). It contains all sorts of information, pictures, simulations, and data on many subjects of mixing. This section will continue to grow. The About Us section gives you a preview of who you are dealing with at Post Mixing. Each page has a Banner Title. Under it is the Sub-Navigational Bar. These are subcategories of the one you are currently looking at. These are like chapters of the current subject. The first button is always Up, so you can always get back to where you came from (the web structure goes fairly deep). The following buttons list the chapters of this subject. In the illustration above it leads to Web Updates. Then comes the body of the subject. This is typically filled with information, links to related subjects, and pictures about the subject. Below this comes the Same Level Navigational Bar. These are other subjects at the same level as the current subject page. In our illustration above it is the same as the Top Navigational Bar. The Page Bottom shows the last time the site was modified. If you want to see what the modification was, click on the date link and it will take you to the Web Update page. Here is an example of the navigational bars from the most popular page at Post Mixing, the Impeller Page.
You will notice that the Top Navigational Bars above the Page Title Banner are just the same. They are the same on every page. It allows you to get back to a main section quickly. The Sub-Navigational Bar is of course different, because these are all categories of the Impeller subject. You can go Up to the Section that Impellers was a category (Mixing Forum). You can click on References (where we got the data) or anyone of the impellers that we have more information on.
Here is the Same Level Navigational Bar of the Impeller Page. You can see the Impellers page without an underline link because you are looking at it. All of the other links are to other subjects at the same level. In this case they are all chapters of the Mixing Forum.
