Chemical Processing illustrates the micro level degree of uniformity in mixing.  This degree of uniformity can not be seen with the naked eye or be measured by a physical technique.  The degree of mixing is inferred by isomer selectivity, chemical reaction yield, and/or mass transfer which is determined based on some form of chemical analysis.
